We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Optician to join our established optical team within a highly respected optometric practice. Our clinic is home to three experienced optometrists and a dedicated optical team with decades of combined experience.

What You'll Do

As an Optician, you will play an important role in guiding patients through their optical experience and helping them find solutions that meet both their visual needs and personal style.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with new spectacle prescriptions and selecting frames and lenses that suit their individual needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
• Providing knowledgeable, personable service to patients visiting the optical department.
• Answering optical-related phone calls and electronic messages through our electronic health record system.
• Using our online ordering portal to place spectacle orders and manage jobs.
• Receiving and checking completed eyewear from the laboratory for accuracy and quality.
• Notifying patients when their eyewear is ready and assisting with dispensing and adjustments.
• Performing minor frame repairs and adjustments.
• Communicating effectively with patients, doctors, laboratories, and other members of the care team.
• Helping maintain the organization and smooth day-to-day operation of the optical department.
• Cross-training with our other departments to ensure patients needs are met

Benefits: Benefits are available to eligible employees working a regular schedule of 28 or more hours per week following the introductory period.
